Design Theory: Social Futures Service design concepts & interviews

I explored service design theory to better understand how to create user-centred, holistic experiences. Applying this knowledge, I conducted interviews grounded in service design principles, focusing on uncovering user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement within the service journey. This approach allowed me to gather deeper insights and translate them into meaningful design strategies.

2046 Explaining the future

I returned to study design because I didn’t want to stay in a declining industry. After losing my job during the U.S. economic downturn, I continued my career with Korea’s top fashion vendor but grew increasingly sceptical about the fashion industry’s sustainability and ethics. This subject gave me hope for building a better, more responsible future. Although I spent too much time on research and couldn’t fully develop the user experience to address the “brain fog” problem, I created a report, video, and brochure for my project. Here, you can see the brochure, which highlights the key outcomes of my work for this subject.

Produce a Visualisation Process work & critical reflection on Nauru Caregivers Survey

Visualising the Nauru Caregivers Survey was challenging but rewarding. I worked to make complex data clearer and more engaging, though representing comparisons like “xx times more likely” was difficult. This project strengthened my data communication skills as I completed my final course at UTS.
